ABOUT ABOUT

Come join us for a special Mardis Gras party featuring live performances by Christine Ohlman and Big Mamou.  Put on your dancing shoes for this fun Outpost event!

About Christine Ohlman:

This queen of blue-eyed rock n’ soul, who grew up loving equally the sweetness of a Memphis horn line and the raunch of an electric guitar riff, whether played by Muddy Waters, Keith Richards, or Pop Staples, teased her blonde hair into a beehive in honor of Ronnie Spector and never looked back, picking up a guitar and forging a career as a songwriter in the process. She’s the current, long-time vocalist with the Saturday Night Live Band.

About Big Mamou:

Big Mamou plays a rocking mix of original and traditional zydeco, Cajun, country and R&B music. Fronted by accordionist/singer, John Sherman and singer Julianne Fenhagen, Big Mamou also includes guitarist/pedal steel player, Michael Levine, upright bassist, Jim Fenhagen, drummer Billy Loos, and trombonist, Fred Parcells. John was previously in “Jolie Blonde “and toured with legendary guitarist, Richard Thompson. Julianne was formally with Walter Egan’s band, “The Wild Ponies” and has played with Larry Cambell. Big Mamou’s most recent member is Fred Parcells who was longtime trombone player for Celtic rockers, Black 47. The band is currently recording their second LP due to be finished spring of 2018.
